Show AND Tell – using visuals to educate customers

by Oct 1, 2021

I do my best to stay agnostic when it comes to what kind of technology a shop should use. I don’t want to promote something that works for one shop but doesn’t work for another. I don’t even promote Autoflow that much in my own blogs and presentations, BUT I will promote one digital tool that you need to get at your front counter. And, that tool is MotoVisuals, aka Virtual Vehicle, (https://www.motovisuals.com). This is a free product to any CTI (Carquest Technical Institute) shop, and an independent shop can pick it up for a monthly fee.

What is MotoVisuals? It is a 3D animated series of videos that you can use to replace your dirty bin of old broken parts and show your customers how things work in a tech-savvy way. I’ve been promoting this tool for a long time, but it was time to bring it back up and write about it a bit. If you aren’t using something like this, you should. And, start using it sooner rather than later.

I love showing a customer in the lobby how something works on their vehicle and then seeing others leaning over to learn more.

Educating your customers is one way to absolutely improve your customer service and customers’ experience. Customers don’t want to be uninformed and in the dark. By showing these insightful videos, it helps to educate and equip them to make the buying decision that they should make!
