Requirements:

• Windows PC or Mac using the current version Chrome or Firefox browser.

Advantages:

Computers offer the best visibility of workflow and reporting, ideal for SW and Admins. With a computer you can also use multi-screen viewing.

Tablet Requirements:

• Samsung Galaxy A Series running Android 14 or later
• Samsung Galaxy S series running Android 14 or later
• Apple ipad running Apple iOS 17 or later

We do not recommend any device that is called a “Lite” version.

Advantages:

• With a larger screen than a phone you get the same portability at a cheaper price point.
• Wifi connected

Disadvantages:

• 2 handed operation
• If not in a case with a screen protector, it can be broken easier
• Camera can be sometimes under-powered compared to a phone.

Phone Requirements:

• Android OS14 or later
• Apple iPhone running Apple iOS 16 or later

Advantages:

The smaller size of a phone as compared to a tablet is one of the biggest benefits to a technician. It gives better maneuverability in engine bays, under cars and in extremely small spaces with one handed operation.

Use case for phones: Personal phones with the Android OS version 14 or Apple iOS version 17  can be used. If a shop wants to use dedicated devices we recommend 3rd generation iPhone SE. These phones have the power needed at a much lower price point due to their age. These dedicated devices do not need to have a sim card as long as they are attached to the shops wifi.

Disadvantages:

• Can easily be lost or stolen
• Personal cell phones have login access from anywhere
