Feedback is like a Christmas morning gift – Part Deux
In an early blog, I discussed feedback as a gift that you should receive (https://www.autoflow/blog/feedback-is-like-a-christmas-morning-gift/), much like on Christmas morning. Some gifts you love, some you return or re-gift, and some you throw away. The main point being you should receive it welcomingly then decide what to do with it..
Feedback not only helps the person receiving it but also the one giving it. Sometimes, we are scared to give feedback because we fear it could be thrown back in our face, but we should proceed regardless, especially when someone asked for it. And, for the listener, there could be a nugget of insight that really helps that person with a breakthrough.
I will leave you with one quote that I find simple yet powerful when it comes to giving and receiving feedback.
