Warning: Texting from your main business line
- Phone companies have AI blackboxes that determine spam and could put your number on that list if it assesses that too many texts are coming from your number. How many is too many? I have no idea, and neither do they.
- There is no such thing as a “white list” at phone companies to ensure your number is cleared and not flagged.
- If your phone number gets flagged, you‘re going to have to use a new number anyway to continue texting. Might as well start there.
Is it frustrating that the phone companies mark numbers as spam when they shouldn’t? Yes. You can still use your shop’s number for texting, just realize there is a risk and potential downside.
