Redefining CRM: What Quality Control Really Protects: The Client Relationship

August 13, 2026
This piece continues our look at Client Relating Capability, the concept we introduced in Redefining CRM, and how it shows up in one of the most overlooked parts of a shop’s process.

Autoflow provides the industry’s premier, dedicated Quality Control form for repair facility staff to ensure a client’s vehicle is in a deliverable state.

Here is another question I ask in coaching calls:  could oversights be a detriment to your relationship with the client?

I meet countless industry professionals, good people, who have suffered an irrecoverable loss of trust with a client that can be easily traced to a poorly defined quality control process. The excuses never defeat the question clients, at least subconsciously, ask:  Was I not worthy of your careful attention?

Let this be a moment of truth for our industry:  it is disingenuous to state that a client is important to you and your business if you allow preventable issues to go unchecked.

Quality Control is not only about catching misses on the vehicle. It is also a check that key workflow steps occurred before closing any ticket. For example, we compiled and qualified the information on unaddressed inspection items, or on estimated and unapproved jobs.

Failure to post accurate data now creates downstream failures and eventual broken trust in your marketing efforts.

For software to be effective at consistent automation, it is critical that ticket data be correct.  Otherwise, it’s junk in,  junk out.
